During the holidays in late April to early May the schedule of the Yasnaya Polyana Museum and its branches will change:
 
YANSNAYA POLYANA ESTATE. Tel.: +7 48751 76125
On April 28—30 and May 1, 4, and 10—12, 2024, guided tours of the estate, the Tolstoy House and the Kuzminsky House will be offered from 10:30 to 15:40. From 15:50 to 16:30, tours of the estate and the Tolstoy House will be offered (without admission to the Kuzminsky House).
 
On May 5, 6, and 9, the estate grounds and the historic buildings will be closed for visitors, and no guided tours will be offered.
 
On May 2, 3, and 7, the museum will work as usual, from 09:00 to 17:00. Guided tours will be offered from 09:30 to 15:30 (the time when the last tour of the day starts).
 
On May 8, the museum’s working day will be shorter than usual. Guided tours of the estate, the Tolstoy House, and the Kuzminsky House will be offered from 9:30 to 13:40. From 13:50 to 14:30, tours of the estate and the Tolstoy House will be offered (without admission to the Kuzminsky House).
 
Beginning on April 28, our museum shifts to the summer schedule on weekends and holidays. Admission to the estate grounds on such days will be possible from 9:00 to 17:00; visitors can stay on the grounds till 18:00. To enter the estate, one should buy an admission ticket (100 rubles) from the terminal near the entrance. It is possible to pay either by a bank card or by cash (no change).
 
Please, note that on weekends and holidays, when we have more visitors than on weekdays, we may stop selling tickets for guided tours earlier than usual.
From April 28, you can visit the historic buildings only as part of a tour group.
 
KOZLOVA ZASEKA STATION
At Kozlova Zaseka, the closest railway station to Yasnaya Polyana, you can visit the historic station building related to the Tolstoy family’s and their friends’ travels, and see the exhibition Leo Tolstoy’s Railway.

May 8: from 9:30 to 15:30;
May 5, 6, and 9: closed.
 
THE L.N.T. CENTER
The L.N.T. Cultural and Exhibition Center (in the Museum Quarter in Tula) accommodates the interactive exhibition My Address Is Always: Tula. On the second floor of the Center, you can also see the exhibition The Soldiers of Mercy.

April 29—May 3, and May 8—10: from 11:00 to 19:00;
May 4—5 and May 11—12: from 10:00 to 18:00;
May 6 and 7: closed.
 
Shchekino (Yasenki) Station
The attraction of the historic site at the Shchekino (Yasenki) railway station is the stylized halt platform of the Yasenki station (the station had this name until 1903), with the ticket-office and a passenger car of the late 19th—early 20th centuries. In the car, you can see how the first-, second-, and third-class passengers used to travel, and watch the footage of Leo Tolstoy at the station.

The Zemstvo and Town-planning History Museum in Krapivna
In the old town of Krapivna, a former district center in Tula Province, tourists can see its various sights during a general or thematic guided tour. The museum’s exhibition focuses on the history of town planning and social life in Russia in the 19th century, including the experience of local self-administration after the Zemstvo (local councils) reform of 1864. The museum also offers various workshops.
Holiday schedule:
April 28—30, and May 1, 4—5, and 8—12: from 10:00 to 18:00;
May 8: from 9:30 to 16:00.
 
The Maloye Pirogovo Estate
At the Maloye Pirogovo Estate, the visitors are offered guided tours of the estate grounds and the manor house which used to belong to Leo Tolstoy’s sister Maria, and later to the author’s daughter Maria.
Holiday schedule:
April 28—30 and May 1, 4, and 10—12: from 10:00 to 16:30 (the last tour beginning at 15:30);
May 8: from 10:00 to 15:30; tours offered from 10:00 to 14:30;
May 5, 6, and 9: closed.
 
Nikolskoye-Vyazemskoye Estate
The estate that used to belong to Leo Tolstoy’s paternal ancestors will also welcome visitors during the holidays. The manor house accommodates the exhibition related to the history of the Tolstoy Family in the context of the history of Russia. The estate grounds can be seen during the guided tour Nikolskoye-Vyazemskoye—Ancestral Estate of the Counts Tolstoy.
